Compassion requires us to be weak with the weak, vulnerable with the vulnerable and powerless with the powerless. Compassion means full immersion in the condition of being human.”<br /><br />Mr. Nouwen always has something to say that 'gets me.' In this quote I was reminded of the compelling of Isaiah 58 in our own lives - here, there, anywhere. <br /><br />As for your skills - they are needed, necessary, and priceless. But the manifestation is of a form and substance new and unfamiliar to you. Like that coat we spoke about long ago... it doesn't quite fit yet. Keep wearing it, my friend.
